Penguin Computing™ Highlights from SC20

At Penguin Computing™, our mission continues to be about expanding the world’s vision of what is possible. And while our booth at Supercomputing 2020 was virtual this year and we missed seeing our wonderful colleagues, partners, customers, media, and analysts in person, we made exciting announcements to help our customers demystify platform complexities, capitalize on explosive data growth, leverage AI and ML expertise, and power the entire compute continuum to achieve a competitive edge. Because successfully incorporating many emerging technologies into daily operations is challenging without clearly defined goals, the right skill sets, and the essential technology partnerships to guide the process, Penguin Computing proudly unveiled four technology practices (AI and Analytics Practice, Data Practice, HPC Practice, Cloud Practice) and a series of seven new solutions that include (CloudBase, TrueHPC, OriginAI, and LiveData) to help customers modernize their enterprises and harness the power of these technologies. New Solutions from Penguin Computing By partnering with Intel® and Red Hat, Penguin Computing is proud to unveil CloudBase™ to customers to accelerate and simplify the development and operations of cloud-native apps. TrueHPC™ is an end-to-end, enterprise-supported HPC solution powered by Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) and NVIDIA Mellanox HDR InfiniBand networking to deliver a workload-optimized HPC infrastructure, that scales to meet any workload, and accelerates time-to-innovation across HPC initiatives. Penguin Computing also partnered with WekaIO™ (Weka) to provide NVIDIA GPU-Powered OriginAI™, a comprehensive, end-to-end solution for data center AI that maximizes the performance and utility of high-value AI systems. Working with Intel and MemVerge, Penguin Computing also announced LiveData™ with MemVerge Memory Machine™, a solution to help customers supercharge big memory computing initiatives. Virtual SC20 Highlights We had the opportunity to present two sessions at SC20: “Digital Transformation for HPC and AI” and “Expand your Vision of What is Possible with End to End Solutions for HPC, AI & Analytics, Cloud Native, and Data Technologies”. Awards and Recognition Penguin Computing proudly accepted a HPCwire Readers’ Choice Award for Best Use of HPC in Financial Services, which honored the work done for our customer MEMX with a unique networking wireless solution for trading. Penguin Computing was also named on the Top500 and Green500 lists, earning a total of 16 placements (8 on each), expanding our recognition on both lists since 2019.
