Making its debut, Inforce 6420 based on the powerful Snapdragon™ 600 SoC, is the first Inforce’s new line of application-ready platforms. This platform brings FullHD HDMI input and dual HDMI output to cater to a vast range of new enriched IoT spaces that require edge computing, such as smart cities, smart homes, smart grid, digital health, and automated environmental pollution control.
FullHD HDMI input is achieved through a converter chip from Toshiba which allows imaging data to come in through HDMI to CSI input. You can see the video input from the HDMI source through the Android camera. Connect your laptop or streaming devices such as a HDMI camera to the Inforce 6420 to create smart camera use-cases or an interactive video conferencing device. We have seen this technology in advanced medical devices analyzing high resolution imaging and video encoder/decoder devices that take in FullHD video input for surveillance or applications with multiple displays to switch between multiple HDMI outputs.
